M-Clan - Usar y tirar (1999)



Usar y tirar es un álbum de estudio del grupo español de rock M-Clan. Usar y tirar es su tercer trabajo, fue grabado entre Burdeos y Madrid, y contó con la producción de Alejo Stivel.

En 1999 se les unió el ex miembro de Tequila, Alejo Stivel, en las tareas de producción. Además, Íñigo Uribe fue sustituido por Luis Prado en los teclados. Ya con Alejo Stivel sacaron su nuevo disco, con el que consiguieron ser disco de platino. Su canción más escuchada fue Llamando a la tierra, versión del tema "Serenade" de Steve Miller Band.

Aprovecharon el lanzamiento para estrenar un nuevo logotipo. Los singles de M-Clan pertenecientes a este álbum son "Chilaba y cachimba", "Llamando a la Tierra", "No quiero verte" y "Quédate a dormir".

M-Clan - Memorias de un espantapájaros (2008)



Memorias de un espantapájaros es un álbum de estudio del grupo español de rock M-Clan. Es ya el octavo álbum de su carrera, aunque ocupa el sexto lugar entre los álbumes de estudio del grupo.

Se han publicado tres singles de Memorias de un espantapájaros: "Roto por dentro", "Inmigrante" y "Las calles están ardiendo".

Su último trabajo, producido y mezclado por Carlos Raya y masterizado por Ted Jensen en Sterling Sound (NY), fue grabado en los estudios Brazil, en Rivas-Vaciamadrid. La grabación fue llevada a cabo por Carlos Raya, Javier Ortiz y Félix Vallugera.

M-Clan decidió cambiar al anterior productor, Alejo Stivel, quien tiene una gran visión comercial, para encontrar un sonido más propio y alejarse de la presión que suponen las ventas de discos. Por tanto, este álbum se supone como una evolución del grupo hacia su madurez.

En Memorias de un espantapájaros encontramos muchas colaboraciones: Danny Griffin (marching band), Miguel Ángel Martínez (sintetizadores), Luis Prado (piano), Miguel Blanco (arreglos de viento), Raúl Gil (trompeta), Antonio López (trompeta), Javi Bruna (saxo tenor), Roberto Pacheco (trombón), Sergio Bienzobas (saxo barítono), Toni Jurado (congas) y Josu García (coros).

Defectos personales es un álbum de estudio del grupo español de rock M-Clan. Es el quinto álbum de su carrera, aunque ocupa el cuarto lugar en lo que a discos de estudio se refiere. Fue grabado en el año 2002 y está compuesto por temas con mayor contundencia sonora. Esta vez fue Nigel Walker el encargado de llevar la producción de los temas, algunos de los cuales fueron grabados en el sur de Francia.

Los tres singles que se publicaron pertenecientes a este álbum fueron "Antihéroe", "Dando vueltas" y "Otro año más".

M-Clan - Sin enchufe (2001)



Sin enchufe es un álbum en directo del grupo español de rock M-Clan, fruto de la grabación de un concierto acústico a finales del año 2000.

Más tarde, en la gira de verano de 2001, tras una serie de desavenencias con el guitarrista y co-fundador de M-Clan, Santiago Campillo, fue apartado de la formación y fueron a los tribunales por problemas de derechos sobre el grupo.

M-Clan sacó cuatro singles de este álbum desenchufado: "Carolina" (quizá la canción más conocida del grupo), "Maggie despierta", "Souvenir" y "Los periódicos de mañana".

El tema "Maggie despierta" es una versión de la canción "Maggie May" del cantante británico Rod Stewart. En Sin enchufe, al finalizar "Maggie despierta", el cantante Carlos Tarque da las gracias al inglés. Asimismo, "Todo negro" es una versión-homenaje sobre una versión de otro tema. M-Clan, como dice Tarque cuando termina la canción, hace con "Todo negro" un homenaje a Los Salvajes, que popularizaron a su vez el tema, versión en español de "Paint It, Black" de The Rolling Stones. Por último, en Sin enchufe aparece una nueva versión, en acústico, de "Llamando a la Tierra", sobre el tema "Serenade" de Steve Miller Band. Tanto "Maggie despierta" como "Todo negro" fueron publicados por primera vez por M-Clan en este álbum, mientras que ya existían dos "Llamando a la Tierra" y "Serenade" en el álbum Usar y tirar, de 1999. Además, "Maggie despierta" y "Llamando a la Tierra" reaparecen en el álbum recopilatorio Retrovisión 1995-2006, en el que también se pueden encontrar, pertenecientes a Sin enchufe, "Carolina" y "Souvenir".

Coliseum es un álbum de estudio del grupo español de rock M-Clan salido al mercado en 1997. Es el segundo álbum de su carrera, tras su álbum debut Un buen momento.

Tras una larga gira por medio mundo, en 1997 se encerraron de nuevo en un estudio de grabación para producir un nuevo trabajo: Coliseum, grabado en Canadá, con un estilo más cercano al hard rock.

De este álbum editaron cuatro singles, uno más que con su primer álbum. Las canciones que se convirtieron en single fueron: "Canción sin retorno", "Nacional 120", "¿Dónde está la revolución?" y "Vuelve".

Un buen momento es un álbum del grupo español de rock M-Clan. Salió al mercado en el año 1995 y supuso su debut. Fue grabado en Memphis (Estados Unidos), de donde tomaron sus raíces de música sureña.

De este disco sacaron tres singles, a saber: "En mis manos", "Perdido en la ciudad" y "Donde el río hierve".

En este álbum debut destacan con un rock de sonidos sureños, aunque con el tiempo han ido dejando estas influencias y han ido acercándose más a la música pop.

M-Clan - Retrovisión (2006)



Retrovisión es una recopilación de temas grabados en estudio del grupo español de rock M-Clan. Además de los temas anteriores recogidos se presentan dos nuevas canciones: "Oigo música" y "Bananas". Es el séptimo álbum de su carrera y la primera y única recopilación con la que cuentan hasta ahora.

Con esta antología hicieron un "alto en el camino" después de trece años de carrera musical y once desde la salida de Un buen momento, su primer álbum, al que seguirían Coliseum, Usar y tirar, Sin enchufe, Defectos personales y Sopa fría, los cuales están recogidos en mayor o menor medida en Retrovisión.

El único single que fue publicado de este álbum fue "Oigo música", una de las dos canciones inéditas.

En el DVD que acompaña al álbum se incluyen todos los videoclips de M-Clan hasta el momento más la grabación del concierto de fin de gira que tuvo lugar el 27 de octubre de 2005 en la plaza de toros de Murcia.

The Rolling Stones - Bridges To Babylon (1997) (remastered 2009)



Bridges to Babylon is an album by The Rolling Stones and was released in 1997. It would prove to be their final studio album of the 1990s and their last full-length release of new songs until 2005. The album was supported by a massive year-long worldwide tour that met with much success.

Following the Voodoo Lounge, Voodoo Lounge Tour, and Stripped projects of 1994/1995, the Stones afforded themselves a brief respite from their recent spate of prolific work before leaders Mick Jagger and Keith Richards began devising new numbers together in the summer of 1996 with demos to follow at the end of the year. Although the band would use Don Was as a producer again, Jagger—impressed with their work on Beck's Odelay—wanted to bring The Dust Brothers in to work with the band. Richards, typically, wasn't keen on the idea, thus the only tracks that would bear their influence would be "Anybody Seen My Baby", "Saint of Me" and "Might as Well Get Juiced"; it was thus the first, and so far only, Stones album to feature sampling. A few extra producers would also contribute to give the project a more rounded feel.

Bridges to Babylon was recorded during the spring into summer months of 1997 in Los Angeles in a matter of four months—one of their most concise periods of recording in years—and was being mastered just as projected lead single, "Anybody Seen My Baby?", was discovered to sound like another famous song. Richards' daughter, Angela, brought it to her father's attention that The Rolling Stones' new song bore a striking resemblance to k.d. lang's 1992 hit "Constant Craving" in its chorus. Seeking to avoid any possible future legal entanglements, lang and her co-writer Ben Mink were credited with Jagger and Richards on the potentially offending song. Upon its release, it would reach #22 in the UK and become a US radio rock hit.

Bridges to Babylon, containing an unprecedented three solo moments by Keith Richards, was released to mixed reviews and it reached #6 in the UK and #3 in the US, where it went platinum. Further singles "Saint of Me" and "Out of Control" were also minor hits.

Eight different musicians played bass on the album: Jeff Sarli, Jamie Muhoberac, Blondie Chaplin, Don Was, Danny Saber, Darryl Jones, Me'shell Ndegeocello, and Doug Wimbish.

The Stones had become a touring phenomenon by this point. The Bridges to Babylon Tour in 1997 consisted of 108 shows, making it the second largest grossing North American tour of all time.

The Rolling Stones - Dirty Work (1986) (remastered 2009)



Dirty Work is The Rolling Stones' 18th studio album (or the 21st, counting their US releases). It was released on 24 March 1986 on the Rolling Stones label by CBS Records. Produced by Steve Lillywhite, the album was recorded during a period when relations between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards soured considerably, and is often regarded as a low point for the band.

The album produced a hit for the Rolling Stones — their cover of "Harlem Shuffle" — and features a number of guest appearances, including contributions by Tom Waits, Patti Scialfa, Bobby Womack, and Jimmy Page on "One Hit (To the Body)."

In 1994 Dirty Work was remastered and reissued by Virgin Records, and again in 2009 by Universal Music.

Steel Wheels is an album by The Rolling Stones and was released in 1989. Heralded as a major comeback upon its release, the project is notable for the patching up of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards' relationship, a reversion to a more classic style of music and the launching of the band's biggest world tour at the time. It is also founding bassist Bill Wyman's final studio album with The Rolling Stones, preceding the announcement of his departure in January 1993.

Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr (the latter word visually rendered as Star) is a career-spanning best-of compilation album by Ringo Starr and is the first such album since the release of 1975's Blast from Your Past. The release of the collection coincided with that of Starr's first four solo albums for EMI in digital format on August 28, 2007.

When the Beatles broke up in 1970, it was assumed that John, Paul, and George would have successful solo careers. John's first solo album of popular music was released in 1969. McCartney's album was released the month that the Beatles broke up in April 1970. Harrison's album, Wonderwall Music, was released in 1968. It was uncertain if Ringo Starr would be successful as a solo artist. No one would question his drumming capabilities, or his acting abilities, but as a songwriter and vocalist, he was different than the other Beatles. first, his voice was much more of a baritone and didn't fit the pop mold. Second, he didn't write many songs as a Beatle. Sure he penned lines here and there. It has been said that he wrote the line "writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear" as well as "darning his socks" from the song Eleanor Rigby, but this does not constitute a classic like "Here Comes the Sun." Most of the songs that Starr did while in the Beatles were Lennon/McCartney songs that were written especially for his vocal range. Flash-forward over 35 years and not only did Ringo Starr have a solo career, but also one that has a best-of album with 20 songs. Even a couple of number one hits. In fact, with the release of his 1973 album Ringo, Starr was the most successful ex-Beatle at the time. "Photograph: The Very Best Of Ringo" is that best of album.

Biography (properly, Biography - The Greatest Hits) is a greatest hits collection from the Rochdale soul diva Lisa Stansfield, including her solo Number 1 hit "All Around the World", and her Number 1 collaboration "These Are the Days of Our Lives" (with Queen and George Michael), as well as other hits, such as "All Woman, "This Is the Right Time", and the single which launched her solo career "People Hold On" (though originally performed with producing duo Coldcut). Biography (properly, Biography - The Greatest Hits) is a greatest hits collection from the Rochdale soul diva Lisa Stansfield, including her solo Number 1 hit "All Around the World", and her Number 1 collaboration "These Are the Days of Our Lives" (with Queen and George Michael), as well as other hits, such as "All Woman, "This Is the Right Time", and the single which launched her solo career "People Hold On" (though originally performed with producing duo Coldcut). The compilation features 17 songs, in between soul and dance, with a touch of pop and disco, including three cover versions.
